At TL Training, we recognise the importance of having an appointed person or persons within the workplace who are responsible for giving mental health first aid. Mental health is equally as important as physical health, therefore attending a mental health first aid course is just as valuable as attending a general first aid course.

Our aim is to educate candidates on mental health, how it affects individuals and how we can help those in need. Our mental health first aid training in North Wales is available at many different levels and we can cater for the needs of different organisations and their diverse workforces.

Mental health first aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course, designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms or mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis.

What will the course cover?

Upon completion of this course, candidates will have an in depth understand of mental health, types of mental health conditions, the signs and symptoms and ways in which they can help. We will discuss how to remain non-judgemental as well as confidentiality and when this may need to be broken. Candidates will gain the appropriate skills and knowledge to be able to confidently step in and offer reassurance and support to a person in distress. Candidates will also gain knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support, whether that’s self-help resources, through their employer, the NHS, or a mix.
